Rectangular, double-hinged, the base, sides and cover enamelled en plein with oval reserves of amorini in various pursuits and trophies surrounded by a garland against an engraved gold ground of radiating lines and with borders of green basse-taille enamel garlands with painted flowers at the corners, the covers fitted on the interior with a mirror, one opening to a double compartment, the ends enameled with love trophies, marked in base of one compartment with charge and date-letter (N) and on side with maker; pn flange: decharge and later French control mark (eagle)
