Qing dynasty (1644-1912), late 19th or early 20th century, ink and pigments on paper, very finely painted scenes of Chinese scholars gathered in scenic outdoor landscapes and pavilion areas socializing in pairs and groups engaged in leisure activities such as painting, poetry, and moon viewing, framed under glass in identical wood frames with lobed corners. Frame dimensions 31 x 26 x 1/2 in. Image size 20 1/4 x 15 1/8 in. Overall good estate condition; some horizontal creases to one painting; toning to paper; some light wear and dirt to surface; toning to silk brocade border; cut from hanging scroll format and framed; not examined outside of the frame.
