A PAIR OF REGENCY MAHOGANY LIBRARY BERGERE ARMCHAIRS ATTRIBUTED TO GILLOWS, CIRCA 1815 With red leather upholstered cushions 94cm high, 65cm wide, 58.5cm deep Provenance: Annan House, Dumfries & Galloway The present lot displays all the characteristics of the robust early 19th century work of Gillows from the quality of timber, to the design elements including the distinctive stylized scroll and lotus carving, the roundels and the reeded columnar legs and seat rails.
