An exceptional pair of creamy white jade tiger plaques from the Spring and Autumn period, each finely carved with intricate scroll motifs and surmounted by a stylized bird. The dynamic composition combines the strength of the tiger with the spiritual symbolism of the bird, reflecting the sophisticated artistry and ceremonial traditions of early China. Length 22 cm. each.
