signed Leop: Herr in Wien ‘813, three octaves, obliquely strung, bone pull-out keyboard, burlwood veneered hardwood and softwood body with fire-gilt bronze strips, the latter with palmette decoration, hinged lid with oval bombé Wedgwood application, hinged front cover, interior with maple veneer and ebonised elements, medallion-shaped ink paintings depicting allegories of Spring and Winter, and mirror inset with panelled border decoration, pull-out maple-veneered sewing-table drawer with compartments beneath the keyboard, c. 19 x 54 x 37 cm, front fire-gilt bronze decorative mount in the form of a lyre, key with lyre motif, some veneer elements supplemented, cracked in places, not in working condition, signs of age and use.
