Solid silver candlestick Minerve – A. Risler & Carré, Paris – circa 1900 – Louis XVI style Superb French silver candlestick hallmarked Minerve, signed A. Risler & Carré, Paris, a prestigious Parisian goldsmith house renowned for the quality of its creations at the end of the 19th century and the early 20th century. This elegant piece, in the Louis XVI / neoclassical style, features a particularly refined décor: a fluted circular base, pearled and foliate friezes, a fluted shaft, laurel garlands, and above all a vase-shaped binet adorned with ram heads, an emblematic decorative detail of neoclassical taste. The candlestick is fitted with its original removable bobeche, which enhances its decorative interest and craft quality. It bears the mark A. Risler & Carré, Paris as well as a Minerva hallmark, guaranteeing a work in French silver. This is a piece of grand presence, at once elegant, decorative, and collectible, ideal for a classical interior, a refined home, or a collection of antique metalwork.
