first half of the 20th century. A magnificent oversize carpet with detailed patterning inspired by courtly Safavid works from central Persia. The world-famous model dating from the first half of the 16th century is held in the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. Manufactured with approximately 810,000 knots/sqm on a cotton warp, in very good condition. (VP)
