A Trio of Science Fiction LaserDiscs Including Independence Day and The Abyss

From the archives of Twentieth Century Fox and the visionary forges of James Cameron and Roland Emmerich comes this collection of three vintage LaserDiscs, standard-bearers of home cinema from the final decade of the twentieth century. The first is a widescreen edition of Independence Day (1996), a THX-certified release from Twentieth Century Fox and Centropolis Entertainment. The sleeve features the white house under the shadow of an alien destroyer. The reverse identifies this as catalog number 0411885 and bears the printed marks of THX and Dolby Surround AC-3. The remaining two volumes chronicle James Cameron's underwater epic, The Abyss (1989). One is the original Special Widescreen Edition issued by CBS FOX Video, presented in Stereo Extended Play (CLV). Its sleeve is adorned with a blue-hued graphic of the title over a luminous sea-trench. A printed mark on the rear identifies it as catalog number 1561-85 and notes the inclusion of a making-of featurette.
