A WEDGWOOD FOR THOMAS GOODE & CO. POTTERY ARMORIAL PART DINNER SERVICE LATE 19TH CENTURY Bearing the Dering family crest Comprising; three serving dishes, the two larger 57cm wide, the smaller 52cm wide, two round serving dishes, 37.5cm diameter, six dinner plates, 26.5cm diameter, six soup plates, 26.5cm diameter, four breakfast plates, 22.5cm diameter, and one tureen, 20cm wide (22) The Dering family owned the Surrenden estate in Pluckley, Kent from the mid 15th century until 1928 and built the mansion Surrenden Dering. The majority of the house was destroyed by fire in 1952. George and Judith Oakes lived in the remaining wing of Surrenden House.
