Rare and large antique fish serving board / fish platter - AB Göteborgs Porslinsfabrik, Sweden - 45cm - Jugendstil / Art Nouveau - circa 1910 A rare and large antique fish serving board in the shape of a fish (carp / flatfish) from the Swedish factory AB Göteborgs Porslinsfabrik, Hisingen - Gothenburg. It is a true collector's item from the Swedish Jugendstil / Art Nouveau period, circa 1905-1915. The factory operated from 1898 to 1925 and connected with Rörstrand, where pieces were produced for over 110 years. The piece is beautifully and naturally molded with detailed features such as the head, eye, mouth and fins. Glazed in a flint glaze meeting a characteristic gray-blue / white craquelé glaze. Craquelé glaze, a fine network of cracks in the glaze, is inherent to the high-temperature production process of this factory and contributes to its character and authenticity. Dimensions: approximately 45 cm long x a shallow serving surface about 4 cm high. 23 cm is the distance from belly to back Perfect as a unique server board, unspoiled wall decoration, or as a valuable addition to a collection of Nordic / Swedish ceramics - Northern design.
