Adri Q is a young Afro-Cuban artist born in Cuba who currently resides and works in Alicante, Spain, living and working in El Campello, Alicante, whose painting arises from the encounter between illustration, geometry and a deeply contemporary sensibility. Through acrylic on canvas, she has developed a recognizable visual language, characterized by the use of intense colors, flat surfaces, geometric structures and a rich sequence of graphic patterns that turn each composition into a dynamic and easily identifiable universe. Her work moves freely between figuration and abstraction. At times it starts from recognizable scenes — musicians, women, dancers, Mediterranean landscapes, animals or characters belonging to the collective imagination — only to fragment them and reconstruct them through color blocks, visual rhythms and decorative elements. In other works, geometry takes on a greater protagonism and the figure seems to emerge from the very structure of the color. One of the most interesting traits of her work is precisely that ability to maintain a constant identity within a very broad theme. The Mediterranean, music, nature, literature, fantasy and everyday life coexist within the same plastic universe. Her scenes can be intimate, playful or contemplative, but almost always retain a sense of optimism, movement and luminosity. Color does not function solely as a decorative element: it is one of the main emotional drivers of her painting. Deep blues, reds, yellows, purples and turquoise are combined through direct contrasts and clearly delineated surfaces, generating visually impactful compositions. In her musical works, for example, geometry seems to become rhythm; in her Mediterranean landscapes, light; and in the fantastical scenes, a gateway to an imaginary world. The pieces currently circulating on Catawiki also show a good reception within the accessible contemporary art market. Her compositions have been selected by different experts on the platform, and works with themes as diverse as jazz, Mediterranean scenes or fantastical figures maintain a perfectly recognizable visual identity. That growing recognition is especially interesting in an artist who is still building her career. Collecting her work brings you closer to a young, decoratively powerful language that is already sufficiently defined to distinguish itself with ease: a quality particularly valuable in a contemporary landscape where developing a unique voice is one of the greatest challenges for any emerging artist. Adri Q builds, in short, a cheerful, sophisticated and lightly magical pictorial world: a place where everyday reality can transform into geometry, music, fantasy and color. This work, made in acrylic on canvas, is a vibrant and joyful composition in a pop-art style and flat art that reimagines the iconic characters of Charles M. Schulz, Snoopy and Woodstock, in a stylized and geometric landscape setting. Snoopy, shown in profile with a serene expression, rides a bright red bicycle, while a smiling Woodstock accompanies him in the front wicker basket. The background is a Mediterranean coastal landscape broken down into decorative patterns and blocks of saturated colors: green hills with rows of cypresses and red-roofed houses, a blue sea with short line textures, and a vibrant blue sky marked by abstract patterns. A large sun, yellow and orange, divided into geometric sections with polka dots and lines dominates the sky, adding a bold and graphic design element. The entire scene is characterized by the use of flat and vibrant colors, clearly defined black outlines and a variety of visual patterns (such as the bricks in the foreground, the dots and lines on the sun and water), which create an energetic and playful visual rhythm typical of the neo-pop style, fusing the familiarity of comic book characters with a sophisticated focus on decorative abstraction and graphic composition.
