Æ (XX-XXI) - Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness · Eternal...

**Æ (Spain, b. 1977) — Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness · Eternal Legend (2026) — Triptych · Set of 3 — Hand-Finished Mixed Media** **A dark monochrome triptych celebrating Ozzy Osbourne through gothic imagery, Japanese underground graphics and the mythology of the “Prince of Darkness.”** Hand-signed and numbered. Certificate of Authenticity included. Created as a set of three complementary works, **Prince of Darkness · Eternal Legend** explores the darker visual mythology surrounding Ozzy Osbourne — one of rock and heavy metal’s most recognizable and enduring figures. Across the triptych, Ozzy emerges from a dense black-and-white universe of **skulls, bats, crosses, gothic architecture, spirals, celestial bodies and apocalyptic landscapes**. The imagery moves between portraiture and fantasy, transforming the musician into an almost supernatural figure: part rock icon, part gothic apparition, part legend. The three compositions approach this mythology from different perspectives. One places Ozzy within a surreal cosmic landscape populated by planets, bats and gothic structures; another surrounds him with skulls, hypnotic symbols and macabre imagery; while the final portrait strips the composition back to an intense confrontation between face, shadow and typography. Together they form a single visual narrative around **darkness, mortality, rebellion and immortality** — themes deeply associated with the iconography of heavy metal and particularly suited to the gothic atmosphere of the **Ghosts & Ghouls** collection. The visual language combines references to **1970s Japanese underground manga, vintage horror graphics, Japanese printmaking, punk and heavy-metal posters, photocopied zines and distressed screen printing**. Heavy blacks, scratched surfaces, ink splashes and deliberately imperfect textures give the works the character of mysterious underground posters recovered from another era. Despite their shared monochrome language, each panel has its own identity, allowing the three artworks to function individually or as a dramatic continuous display. ### Hand-finished artwork Each artwork is individually **hand-finished using spray paint and pastel crayons**. The hand-finishing introduces subtle differences in texture, density, tonal variation and surface marks, making every triptych a unique variation rather than an identical mechanical reproduction. ### Artwork details • **Triptych — Set of 3 artworks** • Each artwork: **37 × 22 cm** • Combined display size: **37 × 66 cm** • Limited edition • Original artwork by **Æ** • Individually hand-finished using **spray paint and pastel crayons** • Hand-signed and numbered by the artist • Printed on premium archival Japanese paper • Certificate of Authenticity with **holographic security seal** • Registered artwork identification number • Each set contains unique hand-finished variations ### About the artist Æ is a Spanish artist and designer whose work combines contemporary popular culture with Japanese visual traditions and experimental graphic techniques.
