‡ AFTER THE ANTIQUE - A LARGE ELLIPTICAL CARVED GRANITE CISTERN OR LABRUM LATE 18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY The stone possibly Egyptian, gadrooned oval top on stepped pedestal foot, rectangular plinth base 58cm high, 84.5cm wide, base 40.5cm wide, 28.5cm deep Condition Report: Seems to be suturally sound. With no immediate evidence or signs of restoration to the main body, except for small (1cm diameter) to upper edge, which fluoresces slightly pink under UV light. Plinth base with trace remanets of white material which may indicate some restoration, and further pink colour viable under UV light. Small chips and losses to edges, and blue paint marks which will benefit from cleaning off. More noticeable chip to one corner of plinth.
