Atmospheric vintage / antique alabaster table lamp. The lamp is entirely made of natural marble/alabaster and, because the stone lets light through, it emits a fantastic warm, diffused light. The base of the lamp is handcrafted with detailed decoration showing an image of Don Quixote with his shield and hat, and on the other side his loyal horse Rocinante. The heavy alabaster shade rests loose on the metal frame above the socket. - Material: Natural alabaster / marble - Theme: Don Quixote & Rocinante (hand-carved relief) - Socket: E27 (suitable for LED) - Country of origin: Spain (primarily in the Volterra region / Italy or Alicante / Spain, where the largest alabaster ateliers were located). - Period / Year: approx. 1950 – 1970 (Mid-Century / 1960s). Approximately 23 kg - Condition: In good vintage condition. Works properly. The marble has natural veins and slight signs of use appropriate for the age.
