signed and numbered 'Albert Sala/XIII' l.r., oil on canvas, 57 x 41cm; framed 69.5 x 54.5cm, Condition Report, Condition Report, Unlined. On close inspection under raking light it appears there is some fine craquelure to the surface of the painting in places. There is a possible repair the background above the head corresponding to an area of glue (?) applied to the reverse of the canvas.The paint appears to be a little thin in places. There is a tiny loss in the extreme upper left corner. Viewed under UV light the dappled nature of the gray paint makes it difficult to determine if there is overpainting. There is some slightly stronger purple fluorescing above the head and in the upper corners which appears to be retouching and some patchy green fluorescence to the hair.
