Alejandro Gonzalez - Rostro Expandido 34 - XL

"Rostro Expandido" is a series of geometric portraits where the face ceases to be a contained figure and becomes an expanding territory. Through planes, lines and fragments of color, each work dismantles the traditional idea of portrait and reconfigures it as an open structure: a face that stretches, shifts and reorganizes beyond its usual limits. The series proposes that identity is not fixed, but a system in constant movement. Each fragment —a block of color, an intersection, a void— functions as an extension of the self, an emotion or a gesture expanded in space. Thus, “Rostro Expandido” transforms the face into an emotional architecture: a portrait that does not confine itself to anatomy, but unfolds toward the abstract, the symbolic and the infinite.
