“I have been in love with the famous LEGO bricks since I was a child, and today I realize how immortal they are. Their beauty also lies in the fact that they manage to make immortal even the other 1980s toys. This is the intention of my work. This is the impetus that led me to create my “Alter Ego” with the 1980s toys. I would like everyone to take a step back in time and see our old games in a different, almost immortal, way. From this starting point I have also carried forward new experiments with new inclusions.” These are the words with which Alessandro Piano describes his work. The next step immediately after creating the Alter Egos in resin was photography and the creation of prints on PET PET print with signature on the front, ALEPIANOtm sticker and signature with the work’s name and progressive number on the back. The number of the photo may not be the same as the one in the auction. Shipped in a reinforced tube
