Lotto Vintage Alfra Alessi - Bar Set "Mercurio" (3 Pieces with Grate) - 18/10 Stainless Steel - 1950s/60s At auction, a coordinated bar set from the historic Italian manufacturer Alfra Alessi (Alessi Fratelli), belonging to the famous "Mercurio" line designed by Carlo Alessi in the 1940s and produced until the 1960s. The set is characterized by the typical upper rim with a torqued finish (rope motif). The lot consists of 3 main pieces plus an internal accessory: 1. Large ice bucket / glacette: suitable for holding a bottle of Champagne or sparkling wine. It bears the original mark engraved on the bottom: "Alfra Alessi 18/10 Stainless Steel Italy - Mod. Dep.". 2. Small ice bucket: table-top container for ice cubes, complete with its original blue Alessi adhesive label on the front. 3. Removable perforated grate: stainless steel accessory to insert at the bottom of the small bucket to separate the ice from the melting water. 4. Round tray: coordinated, with a rope-edge perimeter and a mirror-polished finish. Dimensions: • Large glacette: Height ~ 18 cm | Top diameter ~ 21 cm • Small bucket: Height ~ 13 cm | Top diameter ~ 13 cm • Round tray: Diameter ~ 31 cm Condition of the item: The objects are structurally intact and retain a good mirrored shine. Being vintage pieces with about 60-70 years of history, they show normal signs of wear and use: The large bucket has a small dent localized on the edge of the lower profile (shown in detail photos), which does not compromise its overall aesthetics or stability. Please carefully examine the photo gallery, which constitutes an integral part of the lot description.
