Artwork No. 658 Dimensions: 65.00 x 85.00 cm I create paintings using acrylic colors and thousands of small pieces of recycled paper: everyday paper becomes art instead of ending up in the trash. In my latest works I have focused on the theme of women treated as objects (dolls) and too often victims of violence, and these are the latest pieces I have created. This piece is the first realized for the series "Adults should love". The work has a very strong visual and emotional impact. The title "Adults should love" almost sounds like a critique of what is often missing in more mature relational dynamics. The expression of the woman at the center of the composition conveys a sense of vulnerability, abandonment, capturing a moment of intense emotional rawness. The material-based technique amplifies this message: the use of recycled paper cut into fragments, combined with acrylics, creates a mosaic of experiences where every small piece of paper represents a fragment of life, a memory or a scar that shapes adult identity. By placing this work within the thread of giving women a voice and raising awareness about abuse, the title takes on an even more powerful connotation. "Adults should love" becomes a manifesto against toxicity: it reminds us that adult love, the true kind, should be based on care, respect, and authentic affection, moving away from dynamics of domination or violence. The face that emerges from this chaotic, fragmented texture seems precisely to claim that right to healthy love. It is a work of great conceptual depth. *** This work is unique and original. Each piece is securely packed, wrapped and protected for shipping and will arrive in a completely safe package, including the Certificate of Authenticity. I use the courier provided directly by Catawiki. A few days of delay may be caused by customs clearance at borders. Shipping takes about 7 days; about 10 days for non-EU countries. A tracking number is provided for the shipment. This piece will be shipped without a frame and without a stretcher as it will be shipped rolled. The canvas is of larger dimensions than the painted size because the greater surface will be useful and necessary to stretch the canvas on a frame. It is recommended to have the work stretched and mounted by a trusted professional who can also advise on a possible suitable frame. Images showing the work in indoor settings are for illustration only and proportions may appear different. The actual dimensions are those indicated in the description. Different light sources can give different colors to the photos. For more photos and information, contact me! Thank you. *** IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR INTERNATIONAL (NON-EU) BUYERS: Customs duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. The amount should be between 10% and 20% of the artwork’s value. Born in 1974 I am self-taught. After an initial period devoted to sculpture there was a prolonged stop of almost twenty years. Since December 2014 I have resumed with the "two dimensions" for reasons of time and space, abandoning sculpture and dedicating myself to acrylic paintings. I love painting abstract landscapes but recently I have been pushing myself to paint faces of people both imaginary and real. For me painting is "freezing time" in that exact moment; a painting of mine is often a faded memory and therefore my works are "consumed, eroded by time". Sometimes the subjects of my paintings are glimpses of walls also eroded by time, with moss and mushrooms that over time grow on the surface. Time that passes inexorably is the main theme of my works. Coming from a wonderful experience with clay manipulation, I love sculpture, the third dimension, the sense of touch and my paintings are often characterized by reliefs easily perceived by touch and by sight. In this recent period, after several years during which my works were made from little pieces of recycled paper forming figures, I am pushing myself to explore Optical Art where I use painted wooden discs arranged in lines and repeated grids with mathematical rigor which, seen up close, seem to form a colorful abstract painting but the more you move away the more a portrait emerges from the 768 painted wooden discs. Violence against women is a theme that characterizes almost all of my works when I reproduce female faces, precisely to give them a voice when they do not have the strength or courage to report that they are not their partner’s dolls and cannot be maltreated or, worse, victims of violence. *** Below are recent exhibitions: Solo: 2017 Solo exhibition / Maison des Arts - Pescara, Italy Group: Naarden The Art Fair / Amsterdam - Naarden, Netherlands 2026 Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam / De Kromhouthal, Gedempt Hamerkanaal 231, 1021 KP Amsterdam, Netherlands - Amsterdam, Netherlands 2025 X Edition of MumArt “Omaggio a Costantino Barbella” / Museo Michetti - Francavilla al Mare, Italy 2020 Andy Warhol And Friends / Galleria D'arte Art Events Mazzoleni - Alzano Lombardo (BG), Italy 2019 “The Freedom in Visual Arts – Second Edition” / Mumi - Museo Michetti - Francavilla al Mare (CH), Italy 2019 Internationale Art Price - Tamara De Lempika / Milano Art Gallery - Milan, Italy 2018 Archipelago #2 / Galeri Sveva - Stockholm, Sweden 2018 Dialogue Between Generations / Castel dell'Ovo - Naples, Italy 2018 The Magical Hues of Time / Aurum Arts - Pescara, Italy 2017 In a Obsessive and Contrary Direction / Simultánea Spazi Arte - Florence, Italy 2017 World Wide Art Show – New York 2017 / 508/526 West 26th Street, Suite 315, New York, NY 10001 - New York, United States 2017 The Freedom in Visual Arts / Museo Michetti - Francavilla al Mare, Italy 2016 Introspective Hues / Arte Borgo Gallery - Rome, Italy 2016 Caput Mundi Art / Palazzo Ferrajoli - Rome, Italy 2016 Art Salerno 2016 / Palazzo Fruscione - Salerno, Italy 2016 Art Rome / Flyer Art Gallery - Rome, Italy 2016 Trame D'artista / Merlino Bottega d'Arte Gallery - Florence, Italy 2015
