Biskra, splendid vintage original heliogravure prints, attributed to photographer Alexandre Bougaut, a series of 4 photographs in excellent condition, collectible, format 20 x 25 Period, circa 1890, warm tone, in excellent condition, no signs, edges perfect. Alexandre Bougault was a French photographer and publisher, active from the late 19th century to the early 20th century. He is remembered mainly for his work as a naval photographer and for images dedicated to landscapes, cities and places of the Mediterranean and North Africa. His photographs, often disseminated through prints and illustrated publications, document the appearance of locations such as Biskra, in Algeria, and bear witness to the era's interest in travel and documentary photography.
