Alexandre Petrus (1988) - THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX

ABOUT THE ARTWORK THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX What if the best way to win was to stop following the rules? A young street artist stands on a stepladder, paint roller in hand, facing a game of tic-tac-toe. Instead of accepting the usual rules, he draws a bold white line across the grid, finding his own way to win. The vibrant turquoise and electric blue background gives the composition a fresh, urban energy, while the contrast between the precise stencil and spontaneous textures reinforces its street art identity. A playful yet meaningful artwork about creativity, independence and challenging conventions. A joyful reminder to think differently, take risks and make your own rules. ABOUT THE ARTIST Alexandre Petrus is a French stencil artist with a strong and instantly recognizable visual identity. His signature technique — the hand-cut double-layer stencil — separates light and shadow into two distinct stencils, layered onto a spontaneous, hand-painted abstract background. The result: a sharp, iconic figure rising from a vibrant, textured chaos of color. To date, 450+ artworks sold in 10+ countries, from France and Spain to the Netherlands, Germany, the UAE and the US. He has performed live painting for major French institutions including Disneyland Paris, created large-scale murals for corporate headquarters, and exhibited in several French street art festivals (Grimaud, Perpignan, Venelles). His work is currently shown at Galerie Spot 72 in Le Mans. His subjects move between mythology, pop culture icons, wildlife and emotionally charged scenes inspired by childhood. Whatever the theme, the signature remains: precise stencil work, instinctive backgrounds and the small smiling "AP" monogram — Alexandre's two initials fused into a face — sprayed on every original piece. His street art roots also live through POPCHIPS, an independent urban art project. Alexandre creates small original paintings and places them in urban spaces during his travels, creating unexpected encounters between art and passers-by. This spontaneous approach connects his studio practice to the streets. Each painting is a unique, hand-painted original. The same stencil design may be used in other original paintings, but every background and colour composition is individually created. Each hand-cut stencil is strictly limited to a maximum of 50 original artworks. Once that limit is reached, the stencil is permanently retired. A deliberate choice to preserve scarcity, protect the identity of each series and avoid diluting the value of the work. SHIPPING The artwork is carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and protective plastic film, then secured in a custom-sized cardboard box for safe international transit. The signed certificate of authenticity is included inside the package. Shipping via Colissimo or Chronopost (selected at checkout), tracked and insured. Dispatch within 3 working days after payment confirmation. Worldwide shipping available. FOLLOW ME Instagram: @alexandrepetrus.art Website: www.ap-art.fr
