Fine edition in an imitation and numbered edition on special paper of only 999 copies (this is no. 236 dedicated to Mr. Secondo Bozzella) of the Divine Comedy. The 100 color plates illustrating the three canticles are a reproduction of the famous original paintings by the great Genoese painter Amos Nattini (1894-1985), one of the most significant Dantean illustrators of the twentieth century. Bindings in full red morocco with titles and gold tooling and spine raised bands. Minor wear and losses, especially at the lower part of Volume II. Marbled endpapers. Gilded top edges, with the side and lower edges slightly frayed. The editorial slipcases are missing.
