Technical Details and Description Acrylic painting on canvas Dimensions: 108 × 108 cm Canvas: 400 g/m² Technique: Acrylic, mixed media One-of-a-kind, handmade and signed After mounting on a stretched canvas, the visible format is approximately 98 × 98 cm. Final measurements may vary slightly depending on the thickness of the canvas frame used. A luminous field of poppies unfolds under a broad sky, whose cool blue tones gradually transition into warm, golden light. Strong red blossoms rise above a layered network of grasses, buds, and fine plant structures, lending the composition both vitality and lightness. The varying heights and sizes of the poppies create a natural sense of spatial depth: some flowers come clearly to the foreground, while others almost disappear into the green thicket. Free splashes of color and small white accents in the lower part of the image reinforce the spontaneous, untamed character of a summer meadow. A particularly appealing contrast is the intense red of the blossoms against the calm, atmospheric colorfulness of the background. The warm light on the horizon makes the landscape seem to glow from within, conveying the mood of a quiet summer evening—an moment between warmth, freedom, and the onset of rest. Despite the rich floral structure, the work preserves a pleasant openness through the generous sky area. Thus the composition combines expressive liveliness with a tranquil, almost poetic atmosphere. The artwork will be shipped rolled, carefully wrapped around a sturdy cardboard tube and additionally protected in a robust outer cardboard box. About the Artist Alla Faber lives and works in Hamburg. For several years she has been devoted to abstract and modern painting, creating large-format works that balance calm and movement, structure and lightness. Her preferred materials are acrylic paints, texture gels, and metallized foils—combined in fine, often multi-layered compositions. Through delicate transitions, harmonious color gradients, and light reflections, her images do not dominate the space but fill it with quiet presence. Her artistic work follows the concept “So klingt die Stille” (This is how silence sounds) – a painterly exploration of the moment between sound and silence. In this silence there is no emptiness for Faber, but a living force: the breathing of light, the whisper of colors, the gentle pulsation of the space. Her works have already been shown in several exhibitions in Hamburg, including Hamburg zeigt Kunst and in various galleries and HASPA branches. Numerous works are now in private collections across Europe—including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. Her works are also represented in private collections worldwide, including the USA and the United Arab Emirates.
