AMA milano - Coffee pot (5) - MOD: 110-VAPORE - Cast brass

AMA Milano 1980 | Gouden Moka & Serax Design. La Dolce Vita.. In gold. With a hefty dose of Italian bravado. Italy, 1980. The coffee is black, the sunglasses are big and modesty is not on the menu. Meet this stunning vintage AMA Milano electric moka pot. A remarkable Italian design object from the glory days of extravagant styling, when even a coffee maker took on the appearance of an exclusive interior piece. Gold-colored metal, deep black accents, a sculptural housing and a striking geometric base. Italian coffee culture meets Hollywood Regency. And it clicks instantly. The glossy metal surfaces, elegant steam pipe, characteristic filter holder and long black handle give this machine an almost architectural look. A hefty dose of seventies glamour, a touch of Space Age and just enough eighties decadence. And the best part? This Italian beauty still works great! The AMA Milano has been checked, tested and functions as it should. No capsules, no touchscreen and no app getting in the way of your morning routine. This Italian classic works electrically on steam pressure and brings the charm of traditional moka coffee to a particularly beautifully designed device. Two design pieces. Double allure. As if one Italian showpiece wasn’t enough, we’re adding a second design object. The Serax Copper Chemistry carafe, designed by Dutch designer Niels Datema. A beautiful example of contemporary design, made from high-quality borosilicate glass and featuring a characteristic brass sleeve with a warm copper tone. The refined, minimalist form creates a striking contrast with the exuberant Italian character of the AMA Milano. But don’t be mistaken. This Serax carafe is in itself a full-fledged and particularly attractive design object. Not a randomly included pouring jug, but a recognizable design from the Copper Chemistry collection of the renowned Belgian design label Serax. A standalone design piece with its own identity, high-quality material choices and refined styling. The interplay of transparent glass, warm brass and glossy gold gives the combination the look of a carefully curated design collection. The Italian diva provides the temperament. The Dutch designer provides the finesse. Two different design periods, one very stylish whole. The Serax carafe is a separate addition and is not part of the original AMA equipment. Retro glamour for coffee lovers On a marble kitchen counter, a vintage teak sideboard or in a stylish coffee corner with Italian design. This combination deserves a prominent place. Even in a modern interior, the contrast of gold, brass, glass and deep black creates a pronounced luxurious look. And with the holidays approaching? Think of an extended Christmas dinner, panettone on the table, a delicious cup of Italian moka coffee and a beautifully set table with a touch of retro glamour. Or a special gift for the coffee lover who claims to have everything. Although there’s a good chance you’ll decide to keep the gift for yourself. A working Italian AMA Milano from the design period around 1980, accompanied by a stylish Serax Copper Chemistry carafe by Niels Datema. Italian coffee culture, vintage glamour and contemporary design. Two characterful objects, each with its own identity. Because good coffee deserves a beautiful appliance. And a little bit of vanity never hurt.
