American Fur and Trade Company HBC No. 6 Bear Trap

USA. 1947. This No. 6 is a large grizzly bear trap. Wide jaws have a set of three evenly spaced teeth on each of the non-offset jaws with a double spring composition. The circumference of the treadle pan is marked AMERICAN FUR AND TRADE COMPANY and HBC No. 6 in the centre. Stamped 1947 below pan.
