Amsterdam School Clock - Art Deco oak-Coromandel...

This particularly fine Amsterdam School pendulum clock dates from the 1920s-1930s, the period of Art Deco. The oval-pointed clock case is made of beautifully figured oak wood, still in absolute mint condition, and at the front is fitted with coromandel wood where the numerals can be found. Note the lovely wood grain texture of this mint-condition dial. The numerals are partly (4) digits and chrome strips, with the typical Art Deco style hands. Chrome is present as an accent decoration and the case clock has rounded side parts on which the clock sits, and these are also chrome-plated. The movement is the Pfeilkreuz by Junghans, original and a quality movement, ultrasonic cleaned and returned to absolute mint condition, and where necessary provided with special clock oil. The round gong strike marks every half and full hour in a beautiful ringing manner. A fine, genuine original Art Deco Amsterdam School pendulum clock that makes a fitting addition to any type of interior. This pendulum clock is among the finest in my collection, but must now, due to hobby restrictions, find a suitable new owner. Comes with the winding key and is carefully packed, shipped only to European countries.
