An Augsburg parcel-gilt silver beaker

An Augsburg parcel-gilt silver beaker Tapering beaker with a moulded lip on three spherical supports; the body decorated with low-relief strapwork on a punched ground. The domed lid with corresponding decor and a ball finial. Later owner's inscription beneath the base: “William Francis Ayres, Mond. 17th March 1928”. Height 15 cm; weight 272 g. Marks of Johann Fassnacht, 1713 - 1717.
