An Austrian 14k gold and crystal reverse intaglio hunting needle with
An Austrian 14k gold and crystal reverse intaglio hunting needle with head of a hunting dog. Closed setting with a round rock crystal cabochon, the reverse engraved in intaglio with a coloured portrait of a hunting dog (Munsterlander). Hallmarks: Vienna fineness and assay office marks, after 1872 (Neuwirth, plate 7, 15), maker’s mark “W&C”. Diameter 1.20 cm. Pin length 7.5 cm. Weight 3.88 g. Vienna, c. 1900.
