Modelled as the chariot of Telemacus, depicting Telemacus riding a chariot with finely cast horse and lion's head, Athena at the back of the chariot bearing her shield aloft, the pierced dial modelled as a wheel, with Roman and Arabic chapters, on a rectangular plinth decorated with the eagle of Zeus bearing lightning bolts, flanked by two swords with ribbon-tied laurel wreaths, on columnar feet modelled as fasces, the movement replaced in the second half of the 19th century
