An impressive Georgian style ring in unmarked rose-gold, set across the elongated bezel with three ancient Roman gems, comprising nicolo intaglios and a carnelian cameo depicting Eros, the gems dating to the 1st–2nd century AD, the bezel 2.8 × 1.3 cm, size N, 9.5 grams, in a contemporary jeweller’s box in the style of Cartier A comparable ring is recorded in the Victoria and Albert Museum, accession no. 1816-1869
