Ancienne pile de poids à godets emboîtables - Balance or scale - Brass

Old stack of nestable brass cup weights, dating from around 1750-1820. The set consists of a main case with a hinged lid and three nested cup weights of decreasing sizes that fit inside. An antique weighing instrument used with a balance to determine different masses. Handcrafted brass construction showing significant patina, traces of oxidation and wear consistent with its age. A fine historical metrology instrument, interesting for a collection.
