Central Asian / Mesopotamian, Egyptian, Roman, and Islamic cultures, ca. 1200 BCE to 1300 CE. A wearable necklace assembled in modern times from an assorted group of ancient stone beads, paired with modern glass spacer beads and finished with a magnetic clasp. The ancient elements represent a broad range of classical-era traditions and include primarily quartzite and other hardstones in semi-opaque white tones, along with creamy agate, pinkish-orange agate, and warm beige stones. The modern spacers are small spherical beads in metallic red and green hues, creating a strong contrast with the natural coloration of the ancient beads.
