Egyptian ushebti dating from the Third Intermediate Period (-1069 / -732) White ceramic shabti with a ventral inscribed column Mummiform figurine, wearing a tripartite wig. The facial features and the wig are enhanced in black, as well as the pectoral. Arms are modeled, crossed on the chest, the hands hold a pair of hoes. At the back, a sack on the back with cross-hatched lines and water jars suspended from a yoke. The statuette bears a ventral inscription down to the bottom of the legs in black surrounded by a linear border, meaning: wsjr dit-mry "the Osiris Dit-Mery". Under the feet, a five-point star painted Third Intermediate Period, 21st to 24th Dynasties, 1069 to 732 BCE. Height 12.1 cm - Perfect condition - no restoration Provenance: Julian Bird Collection, Acquired at the Parthenon Gallery in London in 2007 - M1097 The statuette is showcased by an elegant black metal stand supplied with the object.
