Encapsulated silver-plated metal pendant, for better preservation, with AE bronze unit. Struck in Amisos (region of Pontus) between 125–100 BC during the reign of Mithridates VI Eupator, who waged hard wars against the Roman Republic. It is linked to a modern snake/cord-type chain in 925 sterling silver. Obverse: bust of the Goddess Artemis with a diadem and tied-back hair. Reverse: bow and quiver, hunting attributes of Artemis. Inscription "Amisos".
