A captivating wearable amulet created from an ancient Greek bronze coin dedicated to the imagery of Artemis Pergaia, combining the sacred presence of the goddess with the unmistakable attributes of the divine huntress. The obverse depicts the cult statue of Artemis Pergaia within a distyle temple, standing between two columns beneath the architectural outline of her sanctuary. The composition is particularly evocative because Artemis is represented through her sacred cult image and temple setting, emphasizing the religious character of the original coin design. The reverse presents the bow and quiver, traditional attributes of Artemis as goddess of the hunt and wilderness. The bow embodies her identity as the divine archer, while the quiver represents readiness and vigilance. In a modern symbolic interpretation, these powerful attributes can evoke protection, independence, strength and determination. Together, the two sides create a beautifully balanced ancient composition: Artemis within her sacred sanctuary on one side and the weapons of the goddess on the other. This relationship gives the coin an especially appealing character when worn as a personal historical talisman. The ancient bronze preserves an attractive green and earthy patina with warm bronze highlights, allowing the surviving temple architecture, cult figure and reverse symbols to remain visible while retaining the unmistakable character of an ancient object. The coin has subsequently been adapted for contemporary wear with a modern silver suspension ring and chain. Both sides remain visible, transforming an ancient numismatic object into a distinctive wearable piece of history. Object: Ancient Greek bronze coin, subsequently adapted as an amulet/pendant Obverse: Cult statue of Artemis Pergaia within distyle temple Reverse: Bow and quiver Symbolism: Artemis, divine archery, wilderness, protection and independence Material: Bronze Modern addition: Silver suspension ring and chai
