Roman Empire Bronze Ring with Yellow-Green Glass Intaglio – 1st to 3rd Century AD A Roman Imperial bronze ring set with an oval yellow-green glass intaglio, held within a broad raised bezel and flanked by tapering shoulders. The inset shows a heavily worn engraved motif, now difficult to identify with certainty, while the surface of both the bronze and glass displays extensive mineralisation and an archaeological patina consistent with prolonged burial. Rings of this type were widely used throughout the Roman Empire as personal ornaments and, when engraved, could also function as seals. The substantial bezel, simple hoop and inset glass are characteristic of Roman jewellery of the Imperial period. Material: Bronze with yellow-green glass intaglio Dimensions: 2.1 cm width. Weight: 2.28 gr Provenance: Acquired in Germany at an Auction House. We guarantee the authenticity of the pieces, backed by the combined experience of our experts spanning more than 40 years. A Certificate of Authenticity (CoA) will be sent digitally by email. This item has been legally acquired under European Law.
