Hercules with the Nemean lion skin. Roman bronze statuette, 2nd–3rd centuries AD. A small solid cast male figure representing the hero Hercules, recognizable by the characteristic Nemean lion skin draped over his left side, with the head of the feline clearly preserved and part of one of its limbs. The right arm, currently incomplete, would probably have supported the club, the traditional attribute of the hero. Provincial modeling with a schematic character, featuring incised facial and anatomical details. Dark patina with green and brown tones and surface wear typical of an archaeological context. 64 × 32 × 12 mm.
