Ancient (Roman?) Bronze Bust with Draped Shoulder 1st to 3rd Century AD

Roman Empire Bronze Bust with Draped Shoulder – 1st to 3rd Century AD A bronze bust depicting a frontal figure with prominently modelled hair, a long projecting nose and clearly outlined eyes and mouth. The head rises above a broad upper torso, with one side of the chest exposed and a garment passing diagonally across the opposite shoulder in a series of incised folds. The compact proportions and simplified modelling give the figure a strong sculptural presence. Its surface is largely covered by pale brown deposits, with darker patinated bronze visible on the face, chest and raised details. Wear has softened the finer features, and small surface losses are visible. Material: Bronze Dimensions: 3.6 cm height. Weight: 53.3 gr Provenance: Adquired in Germany from an auction house in 2026. We guarantee the authenticity of the pieces, backed by the combined experience of our experts spanning more than 40 years. A Certificate of Authenticity (CoA) will be sent digitally by email.
