Bronze pendant with double depiction of fish – ancient zoömorphic art Singular ornamental pendant cast in bronze, decorated with two stylized fish arranged symmetrically, with heads oriented outward and joined by a solid circular suspension ring. The piece stands out for its elegant composition and the careful treatment of anatomical details, especially the large incised eyes, prominent snouts, and the engraved lines that define the features of both animals. The representation of fish constitutes a motif with a long tradition in ancient Mediterranean art, linked to the aquatic world, abundance and fertility. The bronze preserves an attractive patina of dark green and brown tones, with oxidation deposits and earthy residues that accentuate the relief of the figures. An interesting piece of zoömorphic metalwork, of notable decorative quality and great appeal to collectors of small antique bronzes. Material: Cast bronze. Decoration: Two fish represented symmetrically. Conservation: Surface patina with oxidation deposits.
