Title: Golden Listening Dimensions: 70x55 cm Year: 2023 Andrea Fregi, born in 1971 in Taranto, is an Italian contemporary artist who unites figurative elegance and decorative sensitivity in a refined and immediately recognizable style. Andrea Fregi creates works characterized by female figures suspended between classicism and modern vision, in dialogue with precious backgrounds, ornamental textures, and intense color schemes that evoke a timeless aesthetics. Through a sophisticated visual language, Andrea Fregi transforms portraiture into a poetic dimension, where beauty, mystery, and harmony coexist in perfect balance. The figures painted by Andrea Fregi are not mere subjects: they are presences that inhabit a space between the sacred and the decorative, between the ancient and the contemporary. Andrea Fregi’s artistic research is nourished by a deep knowledge of Italian painting traditions and the decorative arts. He blends Renaissance compositive rigor with the rich ornamentation of Byzantine and Eastern art. Each work by Andrea Fregi is built through a stratification of matter, color, and symbol that gives the painted surface an almost tactile quality. In Andrea Fregi’s works, gilded backgrounds, geometric textures, and floral motifs are not simple decoration but an integral part of the visual narrative: they frame the figures, protect them, and elevate them to icons of a beauty that transcends time and space. www.andreafregi.com NB: The work will be shipped inside a sturdy tube suitable for shipments. In person, the artworks are more beautiful than in photography: one can appreciate the hypnotic beauty of oil colors coming to life on the canvas.
