Oil painting on canvas from a collection. Hand-signed by the contemporary artist Andrea Fregi and bearing the Gallery stamp. Title: The Golden Abandonment Dimensions: 55x70 cm Year: 2025 Andrea Fregi, born in 1971 in Taranto, is an Italian contemporary artist who blends figurative elegance and decorative sensibility into a refined, instantly recognizable style. Fregi creates works characterized by female figures suspended between classicism and modern vision, in dialogue with precious backgrounds, ornamental textures and intense color schemes that evoke a timeless aesthetic. Through a sophisticated visual language, Andrea Fregi transforms portraiture into a poetic dimension, where beauty, mystery and harmony live in perfect balance. The figures painted by Fregi are not mere subjects: they are presences that inhabit a space between the sacred and the decorative, between the antique and the contemporary. Fregi’s artistic research feeds on a deep knowledge of the Italian painting tradition and the decorative arts. He fuses Renaissance compositional rigor with the ornamental richness of Byzantine and Eastern art. Each work by Andrea Fregi is built through a layering of matter, color and symbol that gives the painted surface an almost tactile quality. In Fregi’s works, gold backgrounds, geometric weavings and floral motifs are not mere decoration but an integral part of the visual narrative: they frame the figures, protect them, and elevate them to icons of a beauty that transcends time and space. www.andreafregi.com NB: The artwork will be shipped inside a sturdy tube suitable for shipping. The colors of the painting may differ slightly from the photos due to screen settings. In person, artworks are more beautiful than in photography: one can appreciate the hypnotic beauty of the oil colors coming to life on the canvas.
