Andrea Krauß - Memory Room_ 60*no reserve*

Andrea Krauß works in a combination of acrylic painting and line drawing, with the lines drawn directly into the acrylic paint, thus forming a sunken relief. “Memory Room” is an abstract exploration of space and memory. The acrylic painting enriched with a sand texture gives the scene a tactile depth – as if the memory is anchored not only in lines and shapes, but also in the surface itself. The sketchy depiction makes the space appear fragmentary, as if reconstructed from memory. The soft, restrained colors reinforce the sense of transience, while the open composition leaves room for personal associations. A quiet moment captured, which makes the fleeting and at the same time lasting nature of memories tangible.
