The Die Is Cast (Il Dado E' Tratto) part of the series (The Gambler) Oil on canvas. 100x100cm. This painting is part of a series titled The Gambler Series. Of the series, originally comprising four pieces, one was sold, so, including the one featured here, only three remain. The series takes a view of the world of the casino, drawing its inspirations from, among others, the glamour of the 007 Bond film series, where style, high society and wealth meet. While in those movies the female figures, the so-called Bond girls, are a supporting role, here women take centre stage, portraying winning characters and naturally adding an extra touch of beauty and sensuality to the games. Andrea Rossi, the seller, is also the artist, and the painting, should you buy it, will have belonged to no one prior to you. Certificate of authenticity available on request. The artwork, in its pristine condition, will be sent stretched. Andrea Rossi graduated in Advertising from Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan, Italy. 'Interactive environments' was subject of his thesis, which resulted in an interactive installation whose object was Coupé, a car produced by Fiat. Tutor on this project was Paolo Rosa from art group Studio Azzurro. After working for some advertising agencies as an art director, he moved to London, UK where he started focussing on his art practice. Many years later he moved back to Milan where he currently works and lives. To date, Rossi's work comprises paintings, videos, interactive installation projects, and experiments involving computer languages such as HTML5 and CSS. It has been shown in several countries: Germany, Italy, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the UK and the USA. Andrea Rossi has the pleasure of gracing with his work homes and places in Italy, Portugal, Germany, France, the Gran Duchy of Luxembourg, the UK and Japan.
