About the painting: “Deep Ocean (III)” is a quiet meditation on horizon, light and stillness. The painting unfolds in a restrained palette of soft whites and muted blues, where sea and sky dissolve gently into one another. Broad, horizontal passages create a sense of infinite calm, evoking the slow rhythm of waves and the vast openness of the ocean. The minimalist composition strips the scene to its essence, allowing subtle tonal shifts and delicate textures to carry the emotional weight. The result is a contemplative atmosphere - peaceful, expansive, and timeless, inviting the viewer to pause, breathe, and drift into a state of tranquil reflection. About the artist: Andreea Zecheru is a known abstract artist based in Hamburg, Germany. Many of her works are held in private and institutional collections across Europe and the US. “Creating art is for me connecting to my inner world by bringing onto canvas emotions and linking them to color and composition. My creative process is inspired by the complexities that surround us. The concept of duality is often one of the main triggers for my work. Painting helps me reveal depths and unconscious feelings, the compositions are intuitive and dynamic. Softness and rawness, control and unexpected, dynamism and calmness alternate in my work - the elements intertwine and oppose. In my work, I am always looking for a kind of balance and emotional response.” Andreea Zecheru
