Anonymous - SPA Mineralwasser - 1930s

This old original poster from 1932 for the Belgian cult brand SPA is a very special poster. It had been unknown to collectors for many years until a few pieces were found a few years ago. Also extraordinary and sensational is the design, which recalls the great works of pop art artist Andy Warhol. As examples, one can mention the famous Coca-Cola bottles or the Campbell's Soup Cans. When one considers that this SPA poster was created as early as 1932, one can describe this work as a precursor to Pop Art. The poster is a fine lithograph produced by the lithography printer ARCITERE in Liège, printed with stone plates. The colors are as fresh as if just printed, in very good condition. It has a slight crease in the middle (as all specimens that have been found). It has, like almost all copies, a small water stain in the central area of the crease. From the front only slightly visible (see photo). Otherwise top! It is among the best-preserved specimens. Shipping is rolled in sturdy packaging and of course with registered, insured shipping.
