The four-leaf clover is considered an ancient symbol of good luck. It is rarely found in nature, which makes it something special and feeds the belief that it brings luck to its finder. Each of the four leaves symbolizes something: hope, faith, love and luck. Unlike the common three-leaf clover, which often symbolizes Ireland and Saint Patrick, the four-leaf clover embodies the extraordinary, the unexpected and the small miracles of life. Its rarity makes it a sign of special coincidences and positive turns of events. This antique brooch from the last years of the 19th century also features this ancient motif. The brooch is made of 14-karat gold and richly set with natural pearls. The four leaves of the lucky clover are formed from heart-shaped faceted amethysts. The small brooch came to us from London. It is beautifully preserved and an auspicious eye-catcher for many occasions.
