A superb Edwardian sterling silver mounted easel photograph frame with hallmarks for J Blanckensee & Co, Birmingham 1904. The beautiful portrait frame is repoussé decorated with a scene from Hiawatha, a figure paddling a canoe before pine trees, the canoe stamped: HIAWATHA The base with a banner inscribed FEED THE FIRE OF FRIENDSHIP AND THE WINDS WILL FAN THE FLAME bearing a registration number, on a wooden easel back. An excellent gift idea for many occasions or an elegant design for your most cherished photographs.
