Antique inspired Door - 1990-2000 - Mali Dogon carved granary

Dogon carved granary door from Mali, featuring a rectangular wooden panel with hand-carved figurative and geometric decorative elements. The door was carved and finished by hand. The surface shows a naturally varied brown patina, visible wood grain, tool marks and small irregularities characteristic of individually made wooden objects. MATERIAL: Hand-carved solid wood. PROVENANCE: Handcrafted in Mali and acquired locally in Mali. CONDITION: Good overall condition. The surface shows natural variations in wood grain, colour, patina and carving associated with handmade work. Small marks, irregularities and age-related surface variations are part of the character of the piece.
