Antique mahogany and mahogany veneer sewing table, restored, circa 1830. The rectangular tabletop opens to reveal an interior divided into compartments and a central drawer. The notched fascia on the front is adorned with a brass lock plate decorated with drapery motifs. It rests on an X-shaped base with curved legs, joined by a turned baluster-shaped crossbar. H. 68.5 cm; W. 74.5 cm; D. 52.5 cm. H. of open top: 119.5 cm. Missing veneer, cracks, signs of wear.
