Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1910. Trefoil bowl and open scrollwork and flowers. Terminal in form of torch-bearing, drapery clad youth kissing an angel emerging from a radiating leafing-scroll cloud. An allegory for morning though suggestive of something more combustible. Gilded Age exuberance to enliven the dessert course. Interlaced script monogram engraved on terminal verso. Illustrated in: Hood, Tiffany Silver Flatware, 1999, p. 282. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and director’s letter m. Very good condition. Large dimensions: H 13 1/2 x W 5 3/4 x D 1 in. Heavy weight: 15 troy ounces. #CA735
